La Junta City Park is the perfect place to bring the family and enjoy a leisure day in the shade and having fun. The park has a world class Tony Hawke skate boarding facility, lighted tennis courts, volley ball court, horseshoe pits, playground equipment, stocked fishing lake for the youngsters, fountains, picnic facilities and a replica of the Statue of Liberty. There are three large covered gazebos for family gatherings. This historic City Park was founded in 1905.
