Description

Located in the Del Monte Forest, this private toll road curves between the Pacific Ocean and multi-million- dollar estates and world-famous golf courses. Open sunrise to sunset, there’s ample time to park the car, walk along the shoreline, even picnic. Pull-offs have intriguing names like #12 Spy Glass Hill or #17 the Ghost Tree, which is near Pescadero Point. The Point posts signs warning of “large unexpected waves that will sweep people off their feet.” To visitors, just the sight of the Pacific crashing against the rocks does that trick. Enter at Pacific Grove gate. It’s $9 per car—free if you ride in on a bicycle. At pull-off #16, the Lone Cypress perches on rocks. The symbol of Pebble Beach, the wind-swept tree is estimated to be more than 250 years old.
