Chateau Chantal is probably the most notable winery occupying Old Mission Peninsula, a thin strip of land jutting 20 miles into Grand Traverse Bay with a microclimate that is ideal for growing certain types of grapes. In Chateau Chantal's great room, you can sip award-winning chardonnays, Rieslings, and pinot noirs while taking in amazing views of the peninsula and both arms of the surrounding bay. On Thursday evenings in summer, take a picnic dinner and enjoy jazz and breathtaking sunsets on the lawn.

Chateau Chantal is a stunning vineyard site that is open year round for wine tasting, overnight Bed & Breakfast stays, cooking classes, Wine Dinners, Tapas Tours, and other events. The view, plus the hospitality of the friendly staff make this the jewel of the midwest.
