Description

Imagine yourself as a drop of water in the Florida wetlands being pulled by gravity and pushed by other droplets, beginning at a spring, onward from a cypress swamp, through a mangrove forest, to a beach and into the bay, out to the coral reef, and then off shore. All of these different neighborhoods have different types of plant and animal inhabitants, most of whom you will get to meet when you visit each gallery -- starting at Florida Wetlands, moving on to Bays and Beaches, through the Coral Reefs, and finally, Sea Hunt. At the aquatic discovery zone called "Explore a Shore," children 3-13 can explore a 24-foot pirate ship, the 10-foot eel reef rock, a wave tunnel, and then see schools of fish, stingrays, and sharks though the giant panoramic window. It's open daily from 9:30 AM to 5 PM.
