Acadian Village

The Acadian Historic Village is located outside the town of Caraquet on the Acadian Peninsula. Visitors can explore 25 houses and town buildings that were moved from Acadian areas throughout New Brunswick or were reconstructed because the original buildings were ravaged by fire. The village creates the illusion that you are experiencing the life of the 1800s — sit in the schoolhouse, or go to the working farm where sheep's wool is cleaned and spun. The staff is bilingual (French and English) to accommodate visitors from all over.
