Anan Creek Bear Observatory

Description

Located in the Tongass National Forest, Anan Creek served as a salmon fishing destination for the Stikine Tlingit clans. Today the area features decks, a photo blind, and a covered viewing shelter for visitors interested in the dense local bear population. If you're lucky, you may spot wolves, wolverines, sea lions, or bald eagles here as well. Anan Creek still boasts the largest pink salmon run in Southeast Alaska.
