Bale Grist Mill State Historic Park

Description

This water-powered grist mill was built in 1846, when the chief crop in the Napa Valley was wheat rather than grapes. Its original owner was Dr. Edward Bale, the father-in-law of winery founder Charles Krug. Located on Hwy 29 three miles north of St. Helena.
