Ben & Jerry's Factory Tour

Description

Guided half-hour tours of a Ben and Jerry’s factory let you lap up the history of a beloved (and politically opinionated) brand. And yes, free ice cream samples are part of the deal. Though schedules vary, tours take place year-round and include a short “moovie,” a close-up look at the manufacturing process, and a stop in the ice-cream and gift shop. The grounds also have a cow-viewing area; a picnic spot; and the Flavor Graveyard, where ill-conceived flavors—like the short-lived Economic Crunch—have been laid to rest. On midsummer Saturday evenings, stay late for the free outdoor movie.
