Black Creek Pioneer Village

Description

This living-history site re-creates rural Ontario life in the 1860s. Costumed interpreters inhabit the more than 40 buildings at Black Creek, demonstrating trades and customs such as blacksmithing, printing, and weaving. Seasonal events such as Christmas are celebrated annually. Many of the restored buildings date back to the early 1800s; there's a school, town hall, restored mill and restaurant. Visitors should call ahead for operating hours.
