Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site

Collinsville's Cahokia Mounds is a UNESCO World Heritage Site of a prehistoric city dating back to AD 1100. An interpretive center includes a re-created village and the screening of "City of the Sun," a 15-minute film about Cahokia. When in Collinsville don't miss a modern mind-blowing landmark, the red water tower disguised as a huge catsup bottle.
