Camden Hills State Park


A panoramic vista awaits you from the 800-foot summit of Mount Battie. Hike or drive to the top for views of the Penobscot Bay, Camden Harbor, and beautiful inland scenery. You can see as far as Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park on a clear day. In addition to the views, you'll find 30 miles of hiking trails, picnic facilities, and a 107-site campground featuring handicapped-accessible sites, modern rest rooms, hot showers, a dump station, and facilities for group camping. The park is two miles north of Camden, and surrounded by charming, historic central coast communities. Open from May 15 to October 15.Pets: Leashed pets are permitted. Reservations and fees: The central reservation telephone number for all state park campgrounds is 800-332-1501 in-state; 207-624-9950 out-of-state. There is a nonrefundable fee for each reservation made. Maine state parks charge a nominal daily entrance fee per person.
