Description

Located in Ottawa, Canada, the Canadian War Museum is dedicated to preserving the military history of Canada, dating from thousands of years ago untill today. The museum, which originated in 1880, showcases exhibits with a focus on wars fought on Canadian soil as well as abroad. The main attraction at the museum is the Canadian Experience Gallery, which focuses on the significant impact wars and conflict have had on Canadian development and its' citizens. The military history research center is located in the museum, and houses over 500,000 artifacts of military history.
