Carleton Martello Tower

Description

Dating back the the War of 1812, the Carleton Martello Tower is one of nine surviving Martello Towers throughout Canada. The tower played a big role in conflicts up ununtil World War II. The site now features a restored powder magazine, a restored barracks room, exhibits in the tower, and a Visitors' Center. The roof of the tower offers a great view of Saint John and Saint John's harbour.
