Cross Ranch State Park

This 589-acre site is largely a wooded river-bottom environment that runs along the Missouri River. The park is excellent for hiking, canoeing, and fishing. Adjacent to a nature preserve, the park features environmental programs during the summer. The park has camping, two cabins (available through reservations only), and walk-in backcountry campsites. Shower facilities and canoe rentals are available during the summer. In winter, you'll find ten miles of groomed cross-country ski trails. The park is located 16 miles southwest of Washburn, ND, off Hwy 200A and 12 miles southeast of Hensler. Pets: Leashed pets are permitted in park and campgrounds but not in any beach areas. Reservations and fees: North Dakota has a central reservation phone number for all state campgrounds: 800-807-4723. There is a nonrefundable fee for each reservation made. North Dakota state parks charge a nominal daily entrance fee per vehicle.
