Culinary Arts Museum at Johnson & Wales


From colonial cook stoves to Japanese tongue scrapers, the museum houses an amazing assortment of gastronomic artifacts and antiquities. The history of food and food preparation is recounted here through cooking utensils from the third millennium BC, presidential culinary autographs, hotel and restaurant silver, and a gallery of famous chefs throughout the ages. Take a guided tour through what may be the most complete collection of gastronomic artifacts in the world. The museum, located at Johnson & Wales University, is open Tuesday through Sunday 10 AM to 5 PM. Reservations required for guided tours.
