Delta to Milford

Description

The lonesome, 70-mile stretch of UT 257 from Delta to Milford passes the ruins and remnants of three pioneer settlements. A mile south of Deseret, you can stop for a picnic near the crumbling mud walls of Fort Deseret. Fifteen miles further south, Clear Lake used to be on the west side of the highway. Look close because all that's left is the ornamental shrubbery. Black Rock lies to the east of the highway about 33 miles further south. The shells of a few buildings still remain.
