E.B. Jeffress Park

Milepost 272. A former Chairman of the North Carolina State Highway Commission E.B. Jeffress, for whom this park was was named, persuaded the federal government to situate the Blue Ridge Parkway in its present location. Follow the Cascade Nature trailhead from the parking lot for an easy .50 mile hike to The Cascades waterfall. Interpretive signs along the trail describe many plants and animal species native to the area. Comfort stations, picnic areas.
