Edisto Beach State Park

Edisto Beach State Park's serene, sandy ocean beach is an excellent place for hunting shells, turtle-watching, and crabbing. Fisherman can try their luck in the surf or in the park's salt marsh. A boat ramp gives visitors access to Big Bay Creek. Campsites with hookups are located near the ocean and near the salt marsh. Deluxe cabin/villas provide more overnight options. Pets: Leashed pets are permitted in Edisto Beach State Park and campgrounds but not in or around lodging facilities. Reservations: South Carolina has a central number for camping and lodging reservations: 866-345-7275. A two-night minimum is required. Reservations made on less than three days' notice must be made directly through the individual parks.
