The AirVenture Museum of the Experimental Aircraft Association showcases the history of aviation and has nearly 250 full-scale aircraft on display. Airplane rides at the museum's Pioneer Airport are offered on a seasonal basis. The museum has 5 movie theaters. The association's annual Fly-In Convention in late July at adjacent Wittman Regional Airport is the world's premier gathering of recreational, military, and general aircraft, attracting nearly a million visitors each year.
