Free Meeting House

Description

Built in 1821, the Free Meeting House in Moncton is one of the town's oldest standing buildings. It was originally intended to be a house of worship for all denominations. The surrounding land was declared a cemetery, with stones dating back to 1816. Eventually after many renovations, in 1990 the building and surrounding area were declared a historic site. The house today is available for groups to rent for special occasions, such as weddings or church services.
