Grays Harbor Historical Seaport Authority

Description

You can do more than just visit this port town’s waterfront. You can actually live its maritime history. On dock tours, docents in period costume stand ready to answer questions about the port and its vessels, which include authentic, functional replicas of two 18th-century merchant ships: the Lady Washington and the Hawaiian Chieftain.

Hop aboard these tall ships and explore, or test your sea legs on one of the two- or three-hour adventure, battle, evening, or educational sailings, during which the sailors might tell tall tales or sing sea shanties. Dock tour times and offerings vary, depending on when the ships themselves are in port.
