Green Valley State Park

Description

Green Valley State Park lies along the shores of Green Valley Lake, an estuary of the Platte River in southwest Iowa. The park occupies 990 acres and Green Valley Lake occupies 390 acres. The park has 145 campsites, 85 with electric hookups and 60 without. The campgrounds are equipped with a dump station and you'll also find cabins, which can be rented. The park offers an open picnic shelter and a boat ramp, and for recreation you'll find hiking trails, swimming, and lake fishing (piers and jetties are both situated along the lake shores). Campsite availability is on a first-come, first-served basis, but cabins can be reserved.Pets: Leashed pets are permitted.
