Herbert Hoover Presidential Library & Museum

The library and museum commemorating the 31st president has exhibits featuring the desk he used while in the White House, Chinese porcelain collected by First Lady during the couple's world travels, and a collection of letters between Hoover and Harry Truman. You should pair a visit here with one to the nearby Hebert Hoover National Historic Site, which has Hoover's birthplace cottage, a blacksmith shop, a Quaker meetinghouse, the family grave site, and trails to and amid a 76-acre reconstructed prairie.
