Jungle Island

Description

Opened in 1936 as Parrot Jungle, this park was later moved to Watson Island and renamed. It blooms with bananas, coconut palms, bromeliads, and banyan and sausage trees, which you can explore via 1.35 miles of trails. It’s home to hundreds of birds from myriad species as well as multitudes of animals ranging from alligators and snakes to llamas and leopards—even a set of twin orangutans. There’s also a playground, a petting zoo, and a show featuring trained birds.
