Kitt Peak National Observatory

Description

Kitt Peak National Observatory contains the world's most diverse collection of astronomical observations for nighttime optical and infrared astronomy and daytime study of the sun and the largest collection of optical telescopes. The observatory offers state-of-the-art instruments including two through four meter-class telescopes. Daily tours are offered. Nightly observing programs available to stargaze. It is located 56 miles southwest of Tucson. Take Rte 86 to 386 to the observatory.
