Knott's Independence Hall

Description

Walter Knott, who founded Knott's Berry Farm along with his wife, Cordelia, was a huge fan of American history---as evidenced by the Western-themed areas of the amusement park. This unique sight is just outside the park's main entrance, however. It's an exact replica of Independence Hall in Philadelphia built in the 1960s to allow people from the west coast a chance to experience early American history without having to make a trip back east. Admission and parking are free; hours are daily 10 to 4.
