McCord Museum of Canadian History

Description

The quality and extent of the McCord collections, which date primarily to the 18th century, make it one of the best museums in Canada. The collection documents Canada's environment, native peoples, costume and dress, decorative arts, and paintings. It includes the 700,000-item Notman Photographic Archives, which document 19th-century life in Montreal. Open Tuesday to Friday 10 AM to 6 PM, Saturday and Sunday 10 AM to 5 PM, as well as Mondays during the summer and on holiday weekends. Located near McGill University.
