Montreal Museum of Archeology and History
The Montreal Museum of Archeology and History, also known by history buffs as Pointe-à-Callière, opened its doors on May 17, 1992. On the same site, significant archaeological discoveries were made during the 1980s, including sizable architectural remains. Visitors can explore the hundreds of artifacts divided among six sections: the Éperon building, the lower-level crypt, the Ancienne-Douane building, the Youville Pumping Station, the Archaeological Field School, and the Mariners House. Permanent exhibitions include Montreal Love Stories, Where Montreal Was Born, and Yours Truly, Montreal.
