Museum of the Plains Indian


The museum is devoted to the life, religion, and artwork of Native American Indians of the Northern Plains, who were primarily nomadic bison hunters, some farmers. The groups represented include the Blackfeet, Crow, Northern Cheyenne, Assiniboine, Arapaho, Shoshone, Nez Perce, Flathead, Chippewa, Cree, and Sioux. The museum has historic and contemporary displays, and dioramas that explain life on the plains. The museum is located on the Blackfeet Reservation.
