Necedah National Wildlife Refuge

Description

Every autumn, this 43,696-acre preserve attracts thousands of migrating Canada geese, tundra swans, canvasbacks, mallards, teal, and a variety of other species. Visitors drive miles of road that thread through the refuge. The best month for viewing is October. The refuge is part of the Great Central Wisconsin Swamp, which provides a splendid habitat for wildlife, including many endangered species.
