New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum

Most visitors expect to be scared with creepy tales of curses and black magic. The museum delivers, but it also offers an explanation of voodoo as a religion and how it plays into the history of New Orleans. See piles of artifacts, dolls, potions, and gris-gris bags (filled with herbs and essential oils blessed by a voodoo practitioner). Items in the gift shop let you get some good mojo to go. The museum also offers cemetery walking tours.
