Ocracoke Village: Ocracoke Lighthouse
Description
Ocracoke village hugs Silver Lake Harbor. The harbor provides focus to village activity as NCDOT ferries, sailboats, and commercial fishing vessels come and go. Close to 250 historic structures remain in the village’s historic district. Building materials were salvaged from shipwrecks.
