Description

The Visitor Center consists of the Parker Ranch Museum and video presentation. The museum contains items used in more than 150 years of ranching operations, over the six generations of Parker family history. The 23-minute, big-screen video presentation shows the day-to-day life on the Parker Ranch. Visitors can also enjoy the interior of the ranch homes, Puuopelu and Mana Hale, where paintings by such artists as Degas and Pissaro, are displayed, as well as objets d'art personally collected from around the world by the sixth-generation Parker, Mr. Richard Smart. Visitors can also browse through the interior of the 1840s koa wood Mana Hale of the ranch founder John Palmer Parker. Located 42 miles from Kailuakona, and 57 miles from Hilo.
