Planetarium

Description

The University of Nevada, Reno offers films and star observations daily in its hyperbolic parabaloid planetarium. The building, designed by local architect Ray Hellman, made the first movie projected in full-dome possible. Today the planetarium's theater, gallery space, educational classroom, and exhibit hall are officially on the National Register of Historic Buildings and host over 40,000 visitors annually.
