Prairie Berry Winery & Miner Brewing Co.

Sandi Vojta’s family has been making wines from chokecherries, raspberries, crab apples, rhubarb, and other South Dakota fruit since 1876. The free daily tastings at her winery, founded in 1999, feature up to five varieties. If beer is more your thing, head next door to the tap room of the Miner Brewing Company, where Sandi has been brewmaster since opening in 2013. Brews to sample here might include Black Currant Maibock, India Pale or Irish Red ale, and Oatmeal Stout. The winery restaurant is a great stop for lunch or an afternoon snack, with cheese or charcuterie boards, fresh salads, open-face or flat-grill sandwiches, and a kids menu.
