Reserve Faunique Rouge-Matawin

The Rouge-Matawin Wildlife Reserve (Reserve Faunique Rouge-Matawin), protected since 1981, is the scenic area where the Matawin River and the Rouge River meet. The western-side Rouge River has more aggressive currents, while the eastern Matawin River is a bit calmer. For those who love outdoor water sports, these two rivers provide great opportunities for whatever you're in the mood for -- fishing, kayaking, or rafting. Simply observing the vast animal and plant wildlife in the area can also be an all-day activity.
