Riverfront Discovery

Description

Climb on board a replica of the Susan Constant, flagship of the three ships that carried colonists, supplies, and livestock to Virginia 400 years ago—but watch your head. The belowdecks quarters are much more cramped than today’s passenger ships. Visit with a 17th- century Englishman as he loads and fires a matchlock musket, watch a Powhatan char a cypress tree to make a dugout canoe, and talk with settlers about their lives at James Fort.
