Roaring River State Park

Description

Expect excellent fishing during the trout season from March 1 through October 31 when the Roaring River is stocked daily by the park's trout hatchery. Catch-and-release fishing is available the rest of the year. In addition, the park's forested valley is open for hiking year-round. The park offers campsites, cabins and an inn; reservations are recommended. Handicapped-accessible facilities are available. Camping is reduced to one campground from November through February. Services include a dump station, showers, water, and laundry. Pets: Leashed pets are permitted in the park. Pets are not permitted in buildings or cabins. Reservations and fees: Missouri has a central telephone number for all state parks: 877-422-6766. For those campgrounds accepting reservations, there is a nonrefundable fee for each reservation made.
