Rosemont Plantation

Description

The city of Woodville was incorporated in the early 1800s; its historic district radiates from the Courthouse Square covered in live oak trees. One large oak bears the name of Jefferson Davis, president of the Confederacy, whose boyhood home was at Rosemont Plantation. Open for tours March 1 to December 15, Rosemont features many of the Davis family's original furnishings and portraits.
