Sinks Canyon State Park

This park is situated in the foothills of the Wind River Mountains and features three distinct habitats, including an extensive riparian ecosystem. Elk, moose, bighorn sheep and other wild game can frequently be sighted. The Popo Agie River disappears in the sinks of a limestone cavern and reappears a quarter-mile down the canyon at The Rise. The Sinks Canyon State Park Visitor Center provides information about natural features and recreational opportunities. Located nine miles SW of Lander SR 131.
