St-James Street

Description

Lined with banks and insurance company headquarters during the late 19th through early 20th centuries, St. James Street was at the cornerstone of Canadian economic life. These days, you can see buildings such as Molson's Bank (later the Bank of Montreal), the Canadian Bank of Commerce, and the Merchants' Bank of Canada. Take a peek at the historic Ottawa Hotel, which today holds office and retail space.
