Taos Pueblo

Description

This centuries-old village at the foot of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains is a National Historical Monument and World Heritage Site. Jewelry, deerskin drums, pottery, and beadwork are for sale in village shops, and powwows are held every second week of July. Please keep in mind that cameras are not permitted during religious ceremonies. Guided tours of the village are available. The pueblo is located off NM 68 on the north side of Taos.
