Tigua Indian Reservation

Description

Ysketa Del Sur Pueblo is the oldest community in Texas. This section of El Paso was established in 1681 by Spanish missionaries who survived an uprising in New Mexico. The Tigua community is centered on the Ysleta Mission church they built upon arrival. A cultural center is open to the public with a museum, cafe, gift shop, and native dancing provided by the locals.
