Toy Town Museum

Description

This museum highlights rare and one-of-a-kind toys and also a children's interactive center. Exhibits feature lead soldiers, 1940's plastic toys, Barbie, pedal cars, and a collection of Fisher Price toys dating back to 1930. In addition, the museum has a rotating exhibit area with varying toy collections. There are special programs for grades 4-8, a Toy Camp and workshops, a gift shop specializing in collectibles, an annual toy festival, a research library, theater, and reading room. The museum is open Monday and Tuesday noon to 5 PM; Wednesday to Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM: and Sunday noon to 4 PM. There is no admission charge. Call 716-687-5151 for more details. Toy Town Museum is located at 636 Girard Avenue in East Aurora. From Route 90, get off at Route 400 going towards East Aurora. Turn right onto Maple Street. At the first stop sign, turn left onto Girard. The museum is part of the Fisher Price complex.
