Trinidad Lake State Park

Description

Trinidad Lake State Park offers visitors a wide variety of water and land activities amid the scenic splendor of the Purgatoire River Valley. Enjoy ten miles of hiking trails, one of which is handicapped accessible, and two wildlife observation blinds. The 800 surface acre lake is wedged between the beautiful backdrops of Fisher's Peak and the Spanish Peaks. Attractions include an archaeological site featuring the remains of Native American dwellings. A functional horno (Native American cooking oven) is available for public use with recipes for bread and sopas available at the Visitor Center.
