True Grit Cafe

This cafe is a culinary tribute to John Wayne and his many movies featuring the Wild West, especially, of course, True Grit, which was filmed in the surrounding town. The cafe walls bear photographs and posters depicting the Duke in nearly every stage of his career. The menu features entres hearty enough to fill up any cowboy, including half-pound buffalo burgers, chicken fried steak, and eggplant parmesan. "Seasoning dirt", a blend of eleven herbs and spices used in the cafe's ranch dressing is available for sale, as is "John Wayne Toilet Paper" (read the label to get the joke). While waiting for their orders, visitors can peruse the Wayne-related trivia on the back of their menus. True Grit is open 11 AM to 9 PM every day.
