Voodoo Doughnuts

Two Portlanders headed to California to study under a doughnut master before opening their own irreverent haunts back home. Three locations serve yeast-raised doughnuts with truly unique shapes, fillings, frostings, and toppings. Sample a maple-frosted confection; a crispy bacon topping makes it truly magical. Feeling grumpy? Cheer yourself up with a deliciously gruesome, chocolate-covered, raspberry-filled doughnut in the shape of a voodoo doll---it even comes with its own pretzel poking stick. Or channel your energies into the Tex-Ass Challenge, which is equivalent in size to six regular doughnuts (devour it in 80 seconds, and it’s free).
