Wahweap Marina

There are sites along Lake Powell's nearly 2,000 miles of Arizona and Utah shoreline that cannot be reached by car and are difficult or impossible to access on foot, which makes boating a popular choice for sightseers in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. Wahweap Marina, the largest marina on the lake, is base camp for most visitors due to its convenient location off US 89, six miles by car from the town of Page and three miles by boat from Glen Canyon Dam. Outfitters at the marina offer a large inventory of rentals, from 75-foot luxury houseboats to kayaks and 19-foot power boats. Half- and full-day guided boat trips leave from the marina and travel to scenic spots as far away as Rainbow Bridge (50 miles by water), and the Canyon Princess offers a sunset dinner cruise around Wahweap Bay. Lake Powell Resort on the waterfront has 350 rooms, two heated pools, fitness facilities, several restaurants, and parking space for boats and RVs.
