Wallowa Union Scenic Railway

Description

Ride a steam or diesel powered scenic train that operates on a 63 mile long railroad, linking the communities of Elgin, Wallowa, Enterprise and Joseph. The train winds through spectacular roadless canyons as it follows the Grande Ronde River to Rondowa, then turns up the Wallowa River and across the beautiful Wallowa Valley to the base of the towering Wallowa Mountains. The track, historically known as the Joseph Branch, is owned by the governments of Wallowa and Union Counties, operated by Sierra Nevada & Pacific, and features the 1915 Baldwin steam engine known as the Blue Goose.
