Description

This tour will roll you along Colorado's southwestern landscape on a mountainous drive with many peaks over 10,000 feet. Begin your trip in Grand Junction where you can stop at the Museum of Western Colorado, a complex featuring full-size dinosaurs, a trail through time, and a living-history farm. Head south to Durango and experience hot springs, rodeos, and outdoor sports. Follow the route as it winds northeast past the Continental Divide until you reach the Great Sand Dunes National Monument. End your tour at this monument, which houses 700-foot-high dunes, the tallest dunes in the United States.
